Backloggd has got you covered, it’s a platform that makes it very simple to log and track the video games you play or want to play all in one place.
What Is Backloggd?
Backloggd is a video game collection tracker that lets you track, rate, and review the games you’ve played while also adding the games that you want to play to your backlog. The platform essentially acts as an online gaming journal but also allows you to follow and interact with other users and their reviews.
The platform also has a Lists feature where you can make lists of games with complete free rein over the type of list and what parameters the list is being created with, for instance, “Best Games From The 2000s” or “All Games By FromSoftware, Ranked”.
That doesn’t mean you’ll be isolated on Backloggd. The platform gives you many ways to interact with other users, making it a better type of social media that focuses on cataloging. You don’t have to engage with the social elements of the platform, but it’ll probably enhance your experience if you do.
Backloggd is available on either desktop or mobile browsers and is completely free for all users. You can also choose to be part of its Backer plan which starts at $3 a month and offers premium features such as a personalized stats page, early beta feature access, an exclusive Discord channel and role, and more.

As well as rating and reviewing individual games, you can also make Lists or Folders of games. Lists and Folders are just extra ways you can express yourself and organize neatly onto your profile for others to see.
People can comment on your lists, as you can for theirs. If you’ve ever gone on gaming forums to talk about video games with others, then you’ll appreciate this feature.
How to Create a List on Backloggd
Lists can be a great way to express your favorite or least favorite games. To create a list on Backloggd, do the following:
Hover over your username. Click Lists. Click Create List.
You can give your List a title and set it to Public or Private, whether it’s a Ranked list (best to worst) or not, even whether the list is in a Grid format or not.
You search for a game to add it to the list and then click Save Changes to save the List to your profile.
Creating lists on Backloggd can be a great way of ranking games based on your own preferences and sharing your favorite or least favorite games with other users on the platform.
How to Create a Folder on Backloggd
As well as lists, you can also create folders on Backloggd. These folders can be used to group together your lists based on whatever way you want. For instance, you could have a folder for all your lists that are ranked (best to worst) and then one for all the lists that aren’t ranked.
On the Lists page, you just need to click Create Folder. There you can give the folder a name, choose how the folder will be sorted, and add your lists to it.
You’ll likely only need this feature if you have lots of lists and want a way of making them a little more organized on your profile. More than likely you will be able to have your lists on your profile page without needing to group them together into folders.
